The term “Navajo rug” is a bit of a misnomer today, as
many people who collect these works of art would never place them on the
floor and walk on them. These textiles are collected for their natural
beauty – a perfect blend of color and texture. Traditional color schemes of
reds, blacks, whites and greys may be found in
Two Grey Hills
and Ganado
rugs. But if you prefer a wider variety of color, look for a
Teec Nos Pos
or maybe a Burntwater. The beauty of the Navajo rug is that it is not
limited to the color scheme of the room in which it will be displayed.
