The Pueblo of Acoma, the Sky City, in western New Mexico, is home to the fine potters who, without the use of a potter’s wheel, craft the thinnest walls in all of Southwest India pottery. Using a very fine black and orange decoration on a white slip, the potters evoke images of flowers, birds, feathers and prehistoric Mimbres design elements.

Verkamp’s is proud to carry a wide selection of Acoma pottery pieces by award- winning artists such as Sandra Victorino, Frederica Antonio, and the team of Barbara and Joseph Cerno. We also feature pieces that are not of collector quality, but are still fine examples of the Acoma pottery craft.

On these pages you'll find an assortment of styles and price ranges. If you select one of these items and it's already sold, we'll do our best to find a piece that most closely suits your needs. Or, if these pieces aren't quite what you're looking for, contact us and we'll see what we can find for you.
